Mixed use, Clerkenwell
A dark brick building in Clerkenwell, that we built in a former pub garden. The building has retail at street level with two street frontages, and flats and terraces on the upper floors. A central core houses lift and stairs, with the flats laid out symmetrically either side.Perforated brickwork lightens the composition at terrace level, allowing for a more open external space, while retaining the homogeneity of the masonry cladding.
